We need to look beyond just stopping this brain drain to creating a brain gain. This means not only attracting new residents and businesses to the county, but also continuing our commitment to education by driving efforts to create more opportunities right here.
Immigration: Throughout history, immigration has driven population and economic growth in regions throughout the United States, including Cuyahoga County. Now more than ever, immigrants seeking the American dream play a vital role in generating economic activity, stabilizing populations, and creating cultural vibrancy in their communities. By working together to create a unified vision, we can once again make Cuyahoga County a destination for new Ohioans.
Cuyahoga Hope: Access to a college education means access to the American Dream. As we seek to make this region more economically competitive and attractive for businesses, we must make this dream a reality for all Cuyahoga residents. We'll work to develop a college scholarship program for all residents who graduate from public high schools within the county. In collaboration with local foundations, businesses, and residents, we can achieve this goal.
Cleveland Marketing Plan: Cleveland is a city of world-class attractions, whether it's the unique perspective of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the top-notch performances of Severance Hall, or the electrifying Cleveland Cavaliers of Quicken Loans Arena. Now, it's time to let the world know. We'll create a countywide plan to promote Cleveland as a destination city to the rest of the nation and the world.
